The Introductory Programming group is a unit of instructors and support staff within the School of Computer Science at Carnegie Mellon University. Our mission is to provide the highest quality instruction and support to encourage our students' success.

Our lecturers teach the first courses in programming to undergraduates university-wide. The lecturers are not obligated to conduct research or acquire research grant funding. They are expected to devote their energies and resources to providing excellent classroom teaching experiences for their students.
